In the Kadyny Woods you will find not only the largest oak tree in Poland but also many varieties of birds trees and fauna as well as the rare Sika deer which was presented to Emperor Wilhelm II by the Japanese Emperor, over One hundred years ago. The woods make a fantastic setting for a walk and you may meet some wild boar, deer or pheasant on the way.


The Vistula Bay and her beaches are just 800 metres from the hotel. The clean and shallow waters offer ideal conditions for windsurfing as well as for sunbathing and swim.

Gdansk (70 km). Gdansk has a very beautiful Hanseatic Old Town and a very colourful history. It was here that the first shots were fired in the Second World War and also here that the Solidarity movement brought about the beginnings to the fall of Communism in Poland and Eastern Europe. Gdansk and her International Airport with ever increasing direct international flights are only an hour away.

Malbork (50 km) The largest Teutonic castle in Europe and on UNESCO’s World Heritage list.

Frombork (15 km). Fortified cathedral and home to the famous astronomer Nicholas Copernicus who discovered that the Earth revolves around the Sun.

The Elblag-Ostroda Canal ( 40 km). This unique canal was designed for Kaiser Wilhelm and it is the only canal in the World where boats are pulled uphill on rails to overcome a difference in water levels of 100 metres.

Kaliningrad ( Konigsburg), Russia. A mere 75 minute boat ride from Frombork will take you to the centre of Kaliningrad, the Russian enclave. Passports must be organised in advance.
